Welcome Back!
A new year begins as we just welcomed back all the students and meet all the new freshmen. Welcome Week, as we call it, was a huge success! We had lots of events to reach new students, everything from setting up tables on campus, to a dodgeball tournament, to our first service back in Lindner for almost 2 years. It felt so good to be back on campus!

Octavia, the newest member of our family, did such a great job helping us with our ministry table the first week of move in. We set tents and tables up around campus and talk to students and have them enter to win an Amazon gift card. This was a great way to meet and get to know new freshmen. Throughout the week we ended up with a little over 400 people signed up, with a little more than 60% of those 400 being interested in H2O!

Our dodgeball tournament is one of our biggest outreach events of the year. It is a great way to meet hundreds of new students while having a ton of fun at the same time. However, this is one of our hardest events to pull off though thankfully we have some of the best staff and leaders who help make it happen every year.
We had a great turn out for our first day of class cookout, our first church service, the free meal after service, and for the plunge. We had about 270 students attend our first service! If you're wondering what the plunge is, it's an outdoor worship and testimony time the first Tuesday after classes start. It's a great time just getting to worship God in the center of campus and so many students who have never heard the gospel can just hear it through out campus. Welcome week was a big success this year especially after not being on campus for almost a year and a half now. Check out H2O's Facebook for more pictures from welcome week!
Prayer Request:
That the H2O staff, students, and leaders will all continue to be on fire for God and to reach the lost here at UC.
Pray that we would have many new students come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
That we will continue to see a decline in Covid cases so we can remain on campus.
Upcoming big event:
Fall Getaway (Sept 24-25)
Women's Retreat (Oct. 22-23)
The Well Starts this Sunday
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
